EAGLE SPEED & POWER is an integrated speed and power program designed specifically for youth athletes entering the 7th and 8th grades. It will allow them the ability to become proficient in the “age-appropriate” elements of the EPHS Strength & Conditioning program.
While it may not be football season, a quick look at the school playground shows how much the kids like playing football.
The Eden Prairie Football Association (EPFA) has reserved the ‘Prairie Dome’ and is excited to give the kids a chance to play some touch football.
WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 4:00PM-6:00PM for 2nd / 3rd / 4th graders
Sunday, March 8, 12:00PM-2:00PM for 5th / 6th / 7th graders
The only check-in process will be to separate by grade and send them to the appropriate field. Late-comers are welcome if you have conflicts. We will add them to a team when they arrive.
WHO:Any and all Eden Prairie children in grades 2 through 7 (no football experience necessary)
Please forward on to any second grade parents you know as well as friends who may not have participated in EPFA football in the past.
WHERE: Prairie Dome behind Eden Prairie High School
WHAT:Touch football (teams will be formed on the fly, basically “pick-up” football)
HELP:Please offer to help coordinate the games. There will be no coaching and instead the work will just be helping form the teams and stop/start games so everyone gets an equal chance to play. Hopefully we have some high school players there to help us with this also.
Please let Anthony Burke (Anthony.H.Burke@wellsfargo.com) or Allen Rector (firstname.lastname@example.org) know that you are willing to help out.
We look forward to an exciting time of football for the kids.

EPHS Football Champions!
EP High School Varsity Eagles win 28-27 and capture 10th State Championship
... for a 4-PEAT!!
As if you hadn't already heard.....
The undefeated 13-0 Eden Prairie Eagles won against a VERY good Totino-Grace team 28-27 for their 10th State Championship! This team ended the season in the national rankings as #27 nationally, and the only school in the entire Midwest to be included in the top 30! Not too shabby.
The 2014 Eagles' continuous improvement all season resulting in a championship may be remembered as some of Coach Grant and his staff's finest work, and this team will always be a testament to the power of unity, heart and character.
The coaches and players went in to the game believing with all of their hearts that they would win this game and they would not be denied! The Eagles proved to the world that they have the hearts of champions. All of the years of coaching and hard work resulted in a 10th State Championship for the Eden Prairie Eagles. Most of these boys have dreamed of this moment since 3rd grade, and these dreams came true at the UofM TCF Bank Stadium on November 21, 2014.
