Eden Prairie Youth Football - Grades 3 through 8

Season runs from August through October

EPFA is a volunteer organization with many dedicated professionals helping provide the best possible youth football experience.
We are always looking for volunteers to sustain our success going forward.  We are currently seeking support for the following areas:

1) Webmaster:  You do not need to be an IT expert to take on this role.  We are looking for someone with interest in this area who can help organize the site and keep it fresh.

2) Scheduler:  The bulk of this work happens in late July through mid-August.  This requires someone who is organized and has time available to work with the the Eden Prairie Parks department, Eden Prairie High School, and the other football associations.

3) 2016 3rd Grade Commissioner:  Finding a commissioner for the new incoming grade is a challenge we have every year.  If you are interested, or know of someone, please connect them with our president listed on the contacts page.

Dr.Samadani Presents Facts About Football Safety

EPFA has always been committed to player safety.  Our commitment to coaching Heads-Up Football is testament to that while at the same time we understand there are valid concerns with letting your child play football (or any other sport for that matter).  We will continue to look for ways to make improvements and educate all of us on the issues.

Coach Mike Grant saw a December-2015 Star Tribune article about football and safety facts that are relevant to the conversation.  Check it out.

Counterpoint: Call to ban football collides with the facts
Here are the real dangers to youth: guns, cars, alcohol, drugs and inactivity/obesity. Football isn't even the most dangerous sport.

Uzma Samadani is Rockswold Kaplan Endowed Chair for Traumatic Brain Injury Research at Hennepin County Medical Center and and associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota.
